เวียดนาม ประเทศเพื่อนบ้านที่กำลังพัฒนาตามกันมาติดๆ ที่จริงไม่เคยคิดจะมาเพราะไม่คิดว่าจะมีอะไรน่าสนใจ แถมเพื่อนเราที่เคยไปมาแล้วก็สปอยว่าเป็นประเทศที่สกปรกและไม่โอเคมากๆ แต่เพื่อนแฟนกลับบอกว่าดีงาม ลองอ่านในรีวิวในเน็ตก็มีทั้งไม่ดี คนเราอาจจะมีประสบการณ์และความคิดเห็นที่แตกต่างกัน ดังนั้นเราก็เลยต้องลองเปิดใจมาสัมผัสด้วยตัวเองค่ะ

Vietnam is a neighbouring country of Thailand. I never wanted to come here before because I didn't think there was anything interesting to do and my friend who had come here before said that it was a dirty country and not that good. That said, my boyfriend's friend went to Vietnam and said it was really nice. So I read some online reviews and they said both sides too. Since everyone may have a different experience and opinion, we decided we had to come see with our own eyes.

My boyfriend and I flew from Bangkok with Jetstar Pacific for about an hour and a half. Luckily, I got a window seat again! As we flew over, I saw that Vietnam was full of beautiful and interesting rivers!

พอลงจากเครื่องบินก็นั่งอูเบอร์ไปยังที่พักย่านใจกลางเมือง ใช้เวลาประมาณครึ่งชั่วโมงก็มาถึง "f5 house" เป็นโฮสเทลเล็กๆ ซึ่งเราจองห้องไพรเวทผ่าน AGODA ไว้ 2 คืน ในราคาคืนละ $14 หรือประมาณ 490 บาท ถึงภายนอกจะดูเก่าๆหน่อยแต่ข้างในห้องพักก็ไม่ได้เลวร้ายอะไรและพนักงานโรงแรมเค้าก็โอเค แต่ด้วยความที่อยู่ติดถนนใหญ่เสียงรถค่อนข้างรบกวนมาก บีบแตรกันเสียงดังทั้งวันทั้งคืน อารมณ์ประมาณอินเดียเลยจ้า นอนไม่หลับถึงขั้นต้องเอาที่อุดหูมาอุดกันเลยทีเดียว แค่คืนแรกก็ไม่ไหวแล้วค่ะ ตอนแรกว่าจะอยู่หลายวันแต่เจอแบบนี้ขอบายดีกว่า จริงๆแล้วการอยู่ติดถนนใหญ่ก็มีข้อดีคือ ไปไหนมาไหนสะดวก อยู่ใกล้แหล่งท่องเที่ยว และหาของกินง่าย ทุกที่ก็มีข้อดีข้อเสียแตกต่างกันไป แล้วแต่ใครจะสะดวก แนะนำว่าควรอ่านรีวิวให้ดีก่อนตัดจะสินใจจองห้องค่ะ

After we got off the plane, we took an Uber to the city center. It takes about half an hour to reach the "F5 House", a small hotel that we booked a private room at with Agoda for 2 nights at $14/night. Outside it looked pretty old, but inside the room wasn't bad and the staff were okay. The problem was it's next to the main road so it's very noisey, as the cars were quite disturbing, blasting their horns all day. It reminded us a lot of India. We couldn't sleep well until we put in earplugs. At first we thought that we would stay for about a week to see the city, but we couldn't stand the noise anymore. That said, being on the main road does have the benefit that everywhere is easy to get to. We were close to the tourist attractions and it was easy to find food to eat. Everywhere has its unique pros and cons depending on your preferences. I recommend that you read the reviews of hotels before you decide to book the room.

ค่าเงินของที่นี่จะคิดเป็นเงินดองเวียดนาม ซึ่ง 10,000 ดอง = 14-15 บาทไทย (แล้วแต่เรทและช่วงเวลา) ส่วนอาหารที่เห็นได้ตามทั่วไปของที่นี่ก็จะเป็นแซนวิช ชิ้นใหญ่ใส้แน่น (ที่มีราคาเพียง 20,000 ดอง หรือ 30 บาทเท่านั้น) และก๋วยเตี๋ยว หรือน่าจะที่เรียกกันว่าก๋วยจั๊บเวียดนามนั่นเอง ส่วนเรื่องของราคาอาหารถ้าเป็นร้านข้างทางก็อยู่ที่ 20,000-25,000 ดอง (หรือ 30 บาท) ถ้าเป็นร้านเหมือนอาหารตามสั่งบ้านเราราคาก็จะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 30,000-60,000 ดอง (หรือ 45-90 บาท) ร้านที่แพงขึ้นมาหน่อยก็ 80,000-200,000 (หรือ 120-300 บาท) ส่วนน้ำเปล่าตามร้านทั่วไปก็ขวดละ 7,000-10,000 ดอง ก็ประมาณ 10-15 บาท พอๆกับที่ไทยค่ะ

Common foods in Vietnam include sandwiches (just ~20,000 VND or $1) and noodles. The price of street food is about 20,000-25,000 VND ($1). A normal restaurant costs about 30,000-60,000 VND ($1-3) per person. If you go to a more expensive restaurant, it'll cost about 80,000-200,000 VND ($4-$10) per person. A bottle of water costs 7,000-10,000 VND ($0.30-$0.40), which is about the same as Thailand.

บรรยากาศในเมือง รถไม่ติดหนักเท่าบ้านเราเพราะคนส่วนใหญ่ขี่มอไซกันเยอะมาก และเสียงดังจอแจมากเช่นกัน บ้านเมืองก็จะเก่าๆโทรมๆหน่อยแต่ตามท้องถนนก็ไม่ได้สกปรกมากเท่าที่คิด สภาพอากาศพอๆกับที่ไทย และเวลาก็ไม่ได้ต่างกันค่ะ

In the city, the traffic is not as bad as Bangkok, because most people ride scooters. However, it's considerably nosier, as people honk a lot more. The houses and buildings are kind of old, but the streets are not as dirty as I thought they'd be. The weather was about the same as Bangkok and the timezone is the same too.

ในส่วนของแลนด์มาร์คที่เราได้มีโอกาศแวะไปเยี่ยมชมนั่นก็คือ ไปรษณีย์กลาง Saigon Center Post Office และ มหาวิหาร Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon ซึ่งแลนด์มาร์ค 2 ที่นี้อยู่ติดกันเลยค่ะ ไม่ต้องไปตามหาให้วุ่นวาย และอยู่ไม่ไกลจากที่พักเรามากนักพอเดินไปได้ ประมาณ 2 กิโลเมตร ด้วยความที่เวียดนามเคยเป็นเมืองขึ้นของฝรั่งเศษ สถาปัตยกรรมเก่าแก่ของที่นี่ก็จะอารมณ์คล้ายยุโรปๆหน่อย สวยไปอีกแบบ นอกนั้นก็เราก็ไม่ได้ไปไหนแล้วค่ะเพราะคิดจะบินไปเมืองอื่นแทน..จบทริปสั้นๆในโฮจิมินห์ เจอกันโพสหน้าที่เกาะ Phu Quoc ค่า

The landmarks that we had the opportunity to visit were the Saigon Center Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon Cathedral, which are right next to each other. It was easy to find and not too far from our accommodation (2km). The old architecture of this place resembles the European style. Other than this we didn't go anywhere else because we flew to another city instead. You can see pictures of the next place we went in my Phu Quoc Island post.
